I continue to be impressed by the camaraderie of the Sunsail team...

After four days back home in Melbourne following our sensational fortnight in the Whitsundays, I just wanted to formally convey our most sincere thank you again for another magic 10 days with the Sunsail team on Hamilton Island.

Being our fourth charter with Sunsail, I was initially hesitant that previous bareboating thrills and experiences could not be surpassed.  How wrong - your most professional arrangements for our two changeovers of crew aboard the brand new and very quick Jeanneau 49i, meant we have wonderful memories of wind, whales, Whitehaven and wine (and that was only the first day) with our crew of family/friends.  We are all still speaking!

As always, I continue to be impressed with the camaraderie of the Sunsail team on Hamilton Island over the years - Graham and your team are to be commended for the genuine passion showed in ensuring charterers like us are kept satisfied.

Anyway, many thanks again - we will be back, again.  Avanti standing by, for now.

Everything about the trip was wonderful...

We have just returned back to Leeds,UK after a 3 week holiday in Australia and without a doubt the highlight of our trip was the 3 night by the cabin cruise on Melissa under the great care of skipper Mark and newly appointed Stephanie. Everything about the trip was wonderful...the boat, the company , the food( those prawns!) and the amazing sights and experiences. Mark and Stephanie were at all times professional but also such great fun. Did i mention the food? We couldnt believe it was Stephanie's first trip with Sunsail as she appeared so relaxed and competent.It was the most amazing 3 nights ever. Thank you so much. We hope some day to get to do it again.

 I am consistently happy with the quality of your service...

Because we booked late, my first bareboating experience was with another company and the boat broke down. That company couldn't provide us with another boat so our holiday was effectively cut short and I wasn't happy with the way they handled the episode.

Based on that experience, I decided to move to a bigger company for our next charters which was Sunsail. I had already done stuff with Sunsail (Milecatchers, Comp Crew course etc).

I think you guys continue to lead the market. I am consistently happy with the quality of your service in every regard. The boats are always in top shape, the procedures, systems etc all seem to work.

I use Sunsail for the reasons mentioned previously, but you also have 3 other advantages over the other companies:

1 - We can pop in Hamo whenever we like and a berth will be available. This is terribly convenient.
2 - Your scheds are at smart times that don't impact on the day. This effectively makes your sailing day longer and more flexible.
3 - Because you have scale, you seem to be able to get problems fixed quicker than the other companies.

We both had a brilliant time and would certainly commend yourself and your colleagues for such helpful, friendly and professional service.

We met up with two separate groups of friends whilst sailing who both seemed to determine Sunsail as the premium charter operator for the area - I think based on the skilled daily radio operator(s) and apparent quality of vessels they had seen - so we were certainly happy to have gone with you.

Also to be based from Hamilton Marina was a great and useful advantage - especially when we heard on the radio so many vessels trying to book in and having to wait several days for a chance!

As such we have definitely recommended Sunsail to our friends who might consider such a holiday.

Thankyou for your help in arranging all aspects of our trip. The stay at Hamilton (Reef View Hotel) was fantastic with a surprise upgrade to one of their suites and of course Hayman Island was a great experience as would be expected.

This was my third Sunsail chartering experience...

Nicole, This was my third Sunsail chartering experience (the previous being Bay of Islands, New Zealand and BVIs) and, like our experience in New Zealand,  we could not have hoped for a more proficient, accommodating, and friendly base staff.

Everything was ready upon our arrival, including the provisions, the boat and area briefings were thorough, the office staff excellent, and dock staff superb.  Every question or request was addressed rapidly and with a smile.  Our nephew and his family arrived mid charter, and were met as planned at the airport by a Sunsail team member, which set the perfect tone for them after their overnight trip from Japan.  Boat documentation and information was complete and in order.  We purchased the standard provisioning plan and it was excellent - great variety and plenty of food.  We had two orders, one for mid charter when our nephew arrived, and both were ready for us as scheduled.  The provisioning service certainly saved a lot of time and hastle, and only a few minor items - peanut butter, jelly, and bread - were needed from the general store.

The training before we left was really well explained...

To whom it may concern,

On the 21st of November we decided to hire a yacht off your company for our honeymoon.  We received the 32 ft “Jasambri”. Our holiday was unforgettable and very relaxing and we really enjoyed being on our own going wherever we liked. Unfortunately our holiday was so good my husband now wants to buy a yacht and “sail the world”.  I, however, like solid ground! I wanted to send this e-mail to thank the Whitsunday Staff for all their help over the nine days and comment on how professional and friendly all the staff were. The training before we left was really well explained, as I have not sailed before. The yacht was in immaculate condition and ran very well, Please pass on a big “well done” to all the staff for us. I was really sorry to not have met you in Hamilton Island.  We had such a great time, it was the best part of our trip to Australia by far ! And the boat was fantastic, thank you so much for the upgrade - it certainly kept my husband busy winching all on his own.  We had such a great Sunsail experience that we plan to Sunsail again later this year, probably in the Mediterranean.
But the Whitsunday's will always be special, we hope to visit again before not too long.

The boat was well equipped and very clean

Six of us hired a Beneteau for seven days and had a great time. The briefing we received before setting out was comprehensive and valuable. The boat was well equipped and very clean. Everything worked as it should. The staff were very helpful, and did not mind our requests for extra towels and pillows or information. In my experience, it is rare for a tourist company to get it all right. Sunsail did get it all right, and I would recommend them to others.

It was so wonderful!

We relinquished the boat yesterday. Boo hoo hoo... It was so wonderful!  We were upgraded to a 36 foot yacht, we were so excited and blessed!  As far as we could tell Sunsail was the best charter company in the Whitsundays, there were more boats, cleaner and newer boats, better service.

We had wonderful holiday...

We had wonderful holiday in your playground and I would like to thank you  both very much for the good and friendly advice as well as the organisation that you both put into it for us (It don't just happen !! ). The food was excellent.

One of our many highlights was fantastic snorkelling at "Blue Pearl Bay" which was only slightly better than the lovely bays on the northern coast of Hook Island, particularly "Manta Ray Bay" where we feed the fish from the back of the yacht (see photos).

I have dived the outer reef a couple of times but the above snorkelling had more colour, coral and fish (including a black tipped reef shark).

I have attached some photos for you to enjoy or use and a map of our route which worked very well for a five night sail (the photo of me and my best friend was on the beach at "Chance Bay").

My husband and I just got back from our trip last night, and wanted to send you a huge thank you. We had an absolutely marvellous time. Our highlights were:
- Kayaking around Nara Inlet
- Sitting in a dinghy surrounded by sea turtles in Tongue Bay
- Looking down over Hill Inlet at low tide
- Watching a beautiful sunset and full moon rising over Whitehaven Beach
- Seeing a mother & baby whale and a group of dolphins on our way back towards Hamilton Island
- The great crew aboard Melissa (Thanks to Marc and Tess!!!)

Actually, to be honest, the whole trip was a highlight. You can count on me selling Sunsail Crewed Sailing trips as much as possible. We stayed on Hamilton Island for a couple of days, but it didn't even nearly compare to the type of experience we had with Sunsail.  We had such a wonderful time, we're already thinking about going back for another trip.
